Want to Join?
The National Hippology Academy is available for both IEA Rider Members and non-rider members from 4th to 12th grade. We have activities for all knowledge levels!
IEA youth members will have the option to enroll when they register to join a team. The fee to join is $25.
The program is FREE for Junior Education Members (JEM). To participate, parents should visit the JOIN page and register for an account in the new AccessIEA member database. Once registered, the parent can enroll their child as a Junior Education Member (JEM).
The program is set to kick off in September 1, 2026, but enrollment is open through April 1, 2026. Information on how to access online quizzes and activities will be sent out to all participants following registration.

Online Quiz Series
The National Hippology Academy Quiz Series begins September 1, 2026, and runs through April 30, 2027. Each quiz is released on a schedule, and will then be available throughout the remainder of the season.
After registering for the National Hippology Academy, each participant will receive an email with instructions on how to access the quizzes in www.classmarker.com.
Recognition will be announced for the participants who score 100% on a quiz within the first 2 weeks of the quiz release date.
Of those recognized for receiving 100% on their quiz, 2 participants will be randomly selected to receive prizes for Futures and Upper School. (4 prizes per quiz)
Awards will be determined 2 weeks after the quiz is released, but the quiz itself will remain available for participants through April 30, 2027. Winners will be announced on the website shortly after awards are determined.
Participants who complete each regular quiz, and score 75% or higher on the Final Quiz, will receive a free commemorative t-shirt and a certificate of completion.

October 16 – 31: Quiz 4 – Equine Behavior
November 1 – 15: Quiz 5 – Grooming & Blanketing
November 16 – 30: Quiz 6 – General Health
December 1 – 15: Quiz 7 – Nutrition
December 16 – 31: Quiz 8 – Common Illnesses & Lameness
January 1 – 15: Quiz 9 – Tack & Equipment
January 16 – 31: Quiz 10 – Bandaging & Hoof Care
February 1 – 15: Quiz 11 – Anatomy & Physiology
February 16 – 28: Quiz 12 – Conformation
March 1 – 15: Quiz 13 – Pasture Management
March 16 – 31: Quiz 14 – First Aid
April 1 – 30: Final Quiz
FINAL QUIZ – Available April 1 – 30, 2027
- Questions will come from the 14 quizzes released throughout the season.
- Separate quizzes will be available for upper school (grades 9 – 12) and futures (grades 4 – 8).
- The quiz may only be taken one time.
- The quiz must be completed in the same session. Participants may not stop and come back at a later date.
- There will be no time limit.
