The National Hippology Academy is available for both IEA Rider Members and non-rider members from 4th grade to adults. We have activities for all knowledge levels!
Registration fees are $25 for IEA Rider members.
It is FREE for Jr. Contributing Members.

National Hippology Academy Quiz Series
Formerly known as the Online Horsemanship Quizzes, the National Hippology Academy Quiz Series is now divided into different age-based difficulty levels. At the end of the season, a Final Quiz will be posted. Participants who score 75% or higher on the Final Quiz receive a free t-shirt. The top scoring participant in each category will win a prize.
- Quiz 1 – Anatomy and Physiology – September 15
- Quiz 2 – Bandaging and First Aid – September 30
- Quiz 3 – Grooming and Blanketing – October 15
- Quiz 4 – Equine Health – October 30
- Quiz 5 – Hoof Care – November 15
- Quiz 6 – Identification – November 30
- Quiz 7 – Nutrition – December 15
- Quiz 8 – IEA Rules – December 30
- Quiz 9 – Tack and Equipment – January 15
- Quiz 10 – Stable Management – January 30
- Quiz 11 – Equine Behavior – February 15
- Quiz 12 – Confirmation – February 29
Tests are released one at a time on the dates above. However, don’t worry if you missed a test – all of the “released” tests are available to you no matter when you join during the season
THE FINAL TEST WILL BE RELEASED MAY 1, 2024.
This will be a timed test that you can only take once. Questions will move ahead if you wait too long to answer.
