Betsy Tuckey has been an AQHA and NRHA judge for 28 years, and is a member of the Professional Horseman's Association. She is also a judge for the National Snaffle Bit Association, National Reining Horse Association. National Reined Cowhorse Horse Association, and the American Paint Horse Association. She has had the privilege of judging the major shows across the country, including the AQHA World Show, AQHYA World Show, Select World Show, the NSBA Championship Show, and APHA World Show. She has also judged the Congress, the Reichert Celebration, Arizona Sun Circuit, Scottsdale Classic, the Southern Belle, the Just For Pleasure, Texas Classic, Redbud, Florida Gold Coast, and all of the major Stock Shows. In the NRHA arena, she has judged both the NRHA Futurity and the Derby multiple times, as well as the Italian Reining Futurity, and many affiliate shows. Betsy has also had the pleasure of judging numerous IHSA events, including the National Championship show, as well as many NCEA events, including their National Championship Finals. She and her husband John have a great time judging together, and have been fortunate enough to judge events in many foreign countries, including Australia, Germany, Italy, Sweden, England, France, and Switzerland. They own and operate JBT Quarter Horses, Inc., a ninety-acre farm in Liberty, Kentucky, where they raise all around horses and Miniature Australian Shepherds.
John Tuckey is a judge for the AQHA, NRHA, NRCHA, and NSBA. He has judged many major events over the years, including the AQHA World Show, the AQHYA World Show, the AQHA Select World Show, the All American Quarter Horse Congress, Arizona Sun Circuit, Florida Gold Coast, the Reichert Pleasure Celebration, the Texas Classic, the NRHA Derby and Futurity, the NSBA Championship show, and most of the major Futurity shows and Stock shows. He has also judged the European Championships and the Americana, and several major events in Australia. John and his wife Betsy own and operate JBT Quarter Horses, where they raise and train their own horses. He is a member of the KyQHA, and the Professional Horsemen.
Wednesday, April 25, 2018 (Columbus, Ohio) – Despite snow flurries and biting winds at the start of the Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) Hunt Seat National Finals in Syracuse, NY, the level of competition was certainly heated as nearly 400 riders vied for national titles in the Toyota Coliseum on the New York State Fairgrounds.

Naomi Blumenthal is a Syracuse, New York native and was an active horse show exhibitor before she turned her talents to management. In addition to being a USEF 'R' Steward and Hunter / Hunter Seat Equitation Judge, Blumenthal has a long history with the Interscholastic Horse Show Association (IHSA). She served for 27 years as Varsity Coach for Cazenovia College, where she trained numerous National, Zone, and Regional Champions and a National Reserve Champion team. She is currently the Executive Treasurer of the IHSA and has served the organization in several capacities for more than 30 years.
For the past 30 years she has managed top horse shows in the United States including more than a dozen USEF shows in Zone 2 with Hunter and Hunter Seat Equitation and / or Jumper Divisions as well as several other major USEF multi-breed shows and competitions recognized by the AQHA, PHBA, NRHA as well as the New York State Fair Horse Show.
Blumenthal has served as the chair of the USEF Show Secretary's Committee and has worked on the Zone 2 Hunter Finals every year since its inception. She is the current President of the National Professional Horseman's Association (PHA) and Chairman of the Syracuse Chapter of the PHA. She has served as director and secretary of the NY State Horse Council and has participated as a member of the Affiliates Committee of the USHJA representing the IHSA and the PHA.
Jerome Michael Halbleib is a USEF / USHJA "R" licensed Judge and TCP 1 in Hunters, Jumpers, and Hunt Seat Equitation. Halbleib started competing as an amateur in 1982 after taking lessons with Kathy Moore at the Flintridge Riding Club in Pasadena, CA. During the mid 80's he trained at Hunterdon, Inc. and brings with him over 30 years experience of teaching methods, problem solving skills and the search for perfection he learned from Frank Madden, Bill Cooney, Anne Kursinski, as well as the legendary George H. Morris.
While at Hunterdon, he competed in the A/O Hunters, A/O Jumpers, 1.0m thru 1.50m, National Grand Prix, and World Cup Qualifiers. He has produced or conducted clinics throughout the US and Mexico. While coaching all levels of riders - his riding and horse show experience includes: Montreal, Lignier, Bern, Neauchatel, Lac Lugano, Geneva, Wellington Winter Equestrian Festival, Arizona A to Z, CC Gulf Coast Winter Series, Devon, the National at Madison Square Garden, Pennsylvania National, Washington International, Los Angeles Hollywood Charity, the Hampton Classic, Brownland Farms, RMI Series, Equus Events Series, Georgia International Horse Park, AHJA, THJA, GHJA, PJA, and NJHJA horse shows. Riding "Springlight" he jumped 7 ft. in the Puissance class at the Hollywood Charity Classic. Halbleib and trainer Morris sold the horse "Rocko 17" to the Japanese Equestrian Team for the 1988 Olympics. He has demonstrated in over 75 Morris clinics, appeared in over 20 television commercials and judged at more than 150 USEF sanctioned horse shows - most notably the USEF Olympic Sports Festivals in San Antonio '93 and St. Louis '94. Halbleib has been judging USEF / USHJA rated horse shows for 25 years and IHSA and NCAA / NCEA Equestrian competitions for 20 years. He earned his BS degree in Psychology from Abilene Christian University in 1981.
